Trung Le Nguyen is a Vietnamese American cartoonist and illustrator. He is the creator of The Magic Fish (Random House Graphic, 2020) — a graphic novel about a queer Vietnamese American teenager named Tiến who bridges the gap with his immigrant parents through fairy tales — which was a New York Times bestseller and won the Eisner Award for Best Publication for Kids 9-12. The book received widespread acclaim for its multi-layered narrative structure and its sensitive, joyful portrayal of a queer Asian American family.
Nguyen received a 2026 Eisner nomination for Best Publication for Teens for Angelica and the Bear Prince (Random House Graphic).
