Terry Kavanagh is an American comic book editor and writer who worked at Marvel Comics from 1985 to 1997. As an editor he oversaw titles including Marvel Comics Presents, Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Excalibur — where writer Alan Davis credited him with giving near total creative freedom and encouraging experimentation. As a writer he is best known for his long run on Marc Spector: Moon Knight (#35–60), Web of Spider-Man, and X-Man. He co-pitched the storyline that became the Clone Saga, which began in Web of Spider-Man #117 in 1994, and was one of the writers on the Maximum Carnage crossover in 1993. In Web of Spider-Man #100 he and artist Alex Saviuk introduced the Spider-Armor. He co-wrote the first Black Cat limited series in 1994 and wrote X-Man and X-Universe during the Age of Apocalypse event. In 2011 he co-founded the internet startup mybeanjar.com.
