Shof (Shof Coker) is a Nigerian illustrator, animation director, and comics creator born in Nigeria. He is one half of the creative duo Shobo and Shof (brothers Shobo and Shof Coker), whose work is rooted in Yoruba mythology, African sculpture, and the printmaking traditions of Southwestern Nigeria.
Shof co-created and illustrated New Masters (Image Comics, 2022), an Africanfuturist adventure comic co-written with his brother Shobo. Outside of comics, he has primarily worked in animation, serving as art director on the animated documentary Liyana (Amazon Prime) and as director and writer on the short film Moremi (Disney+).
He and Shobo co-created Bronze Faces (BOOM! Studios, 2025), a heist series about three childhood friends who plot to steal back the Benin Bronzes from the British Museum in London, with art by Alexandre Tefenkgi. The series drew on both their Nigerian heritage and the ongoing global conversation about the repatriation of colonial-era stolen artifacts.
In 2026, the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards celebrated its most diverse nominee class in the 38-year history of the awards, with a historic number of Black creators nominated across categories. Shof received a 2026 Eisner nomination for Best Limited Series for Bronze Faces (BOOM! Studios), co-written with Shobo and illustrated by Alexandre Tefenkgi.
