Sherri L. Smith is an award-winning YA novelist and comic book writer. She wrote Avatar: Tsu'tey's Path, Avatar: The High Ground, and Avatar: Brothers for Dark Horse Comics. She also wrote Bart Simpson Comics and Wonder Woman. She won the 2021 Golden Kite Award for The Blossom and the Firefly, and teaches at Hamline University.
