Rebecca Wanzo is a professor and chair of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. She is the author of The Content of Our Caricature: African American Comic Art and Political Belonging (NYU Press, 2020), which won the Eisner Award for Best Academic/Scholarly Work, the Katherine Singer Kovacs Book Prize, and the Charles Hatfield Book Prize from the Comics Studies Society.
