Murewa Ayodele

Murewa Ayodele (born June 15, 1994, Osun State, Nigeria) is a Yoruba-Nigerian comics writer and co-founder of Collectible Comics NG, a Nigerian comic book studio he established with artist Dotun Akande. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Redeemer's University and has been writing comics professionally for nearly a decade.

Ayodele began building his career with creator-owned Nigerian titles including Anarchy, New Men (the first American-published comic from Collectible Comics NG, published by Action Lab Entertainment), My Grandfather Was a God, and Akogun: Brutalizer of Gods (Oni Press) — a critically acclaimed Afrofuturist graphic novel rooted in Yoruba mythology. He made his Marvel Comics debut with Avengers Unlimited Infinity Comic and Moon Knight: Black, White & Blood before being tapped to write I Am Iron Man (2023) and Storm (2024), the first solo Storm series in years.

His Storm run launched to significant acclaim and was relaunched as Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant (ongoing, 2026). He also wrote Rogue Storm (2025). Ayodele won the Lagos Comic Con 2023 FIST Award for Writer of the Decade. His Collectible Comics NG studio was nominated for Comic Studio of the Year at the 2018 FIST Awards.

In 2026, the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards celebrated its most diverse nominee class in the 38-year history of the awards, with a historic number of Black creators nominated across categories. Ayodele received a 2026 Eisner nomination for Best Continuing Series for Storm (Marvel Comics).
