M'Shai S. Dash is an author, speaker, and Afrofuturist from Washington, D.C., and the founder of Emmetropia Comics. Her cli-fi story Fumes is being adapted into a limited comic series under the Emmetropia imprint. She is the author of Quirky Black Sci-Fi Tales (Volumes I and II) and the poetry collection Woman in Sujud. A 2022 Fountain Magazine award winner, her poetry is featured in the art catalog for The Black Angel of History exhibition at Carnegie Hall. She is a former co-host of Black Sci-Fi TV on PhillyCam and has spoken at the Apollo Theater, Duke Ellington School of the Arts, and MiraCosta College.
