Mary Wings (April 14, 1949 – July 3, 2024) was a lesbian cartoonist, artist, and crime fiction novelist. In 1973 she made history by self-publishing Come Out Comix, considered one of the first lesbian comic books published specifically for a lesbian audience. She also wrote the Emma Victor detective novel series featuring a lesbian protagonist, and her Gothic novel Divine Victim won the Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Mystery in 1994. Wings died of lung cancer at her home in San Francisco on July 3, 2024. She was 75.
