Marvin Wynn is a Pittsburgh-based independent comic book writer, creator, and community organizer best known as the creator of The Edge — a superhero series following a cast of genetically enhanced characters exposed to a mysterious substance called 'the edge.' Wynn began developing the concept in 1992 and launched the series in 2012, collaborating with Philippines-based artist Mark Louie VuycanKiat. The Edge has been published by Short Fuse Media Group and Second Sight Publishing, reaching a monthly release schedule in 2021. The series ran for at least nine issues across multiple story arcs, including 'Reign of Chaos,' and built a dedicated independent comics following through convention appearances at Steel City Comic Con, Three Rivers Comic Con, and PulpFest. Beyond his own creative work, Wynn is the co-founder of ComicsBurgh — a Pittsburgh-based initiative that promotes comic book creation for both educational and artistic purposes and supports aspiring creators. He has been a founding voice in building indie comics community infrastructure in the Pittsburgh region and is a beta member of ComicBooked!.
