Keezy Young

Keezy Young is an Eisner and Ignatz-nominated cartoonist and illustrator based in the Pacific Northwest who writes and draws their own comics and graphic novels. They use they/them pronouns. Their work is character-focused, exploring LGBTQIA+ themes, mental health, mystery, horror, and love stories, rendered in vibrant retro color palettes with strong linework.

Young's earlier work includes Sunflowers, an autobiographical comic about living with bipolar disorder. Their debut full-length graphic novel Hello Sunshine (Little, Brown Ink, 2025) is a queer YA supernatural horror story about a group of teenagers searching for their missing friend — weaving together romance, schizoaffective disorder, grief, and the paranormal. It received starred reviews from Booklist and School Library Journal, won a GNCRT Outstanding Comics Award Honor, and received a 2026 Eisner nomination for Best Publication for Teens. Their work also appears in anthologies including The Beyond Anthology Volume 2, Bring Down the Sky, and The Dream Cluster.
