Kaatib Omari is the founder, curator, writer, and primary host of Black Comic Lords (BCL) — a multi-platform Black comics community hub dedicated to reviewing, promoting, and celebrating Black comic book characters, books, creators, and publishers. Launched in 2021, BCL operates across a website (blackcomiclords.net), YouTube, and social media as a nexus for interaction, promotion, and mutual support among Black comic book collectors, fans, creators, and publishers. Omari is the primary voice behind BCL's written content, video interviews, and the Wednesday Wrap-Up show — covering everything from Black superhero history and indie publisher spotlights to the Black Issue Explorer, a living reference cataloguing comics featuring Black characters and creators. BCL has become one of the most focused and community-driven platforms for Black comics culture in the digital space.
