Jaye Wynn

Jaye Wynn is an independent Black comic book writer and publisher, founder of Ruling Hand Comics. She is best known as the creator and writer of Gehenna Imperium — a dark fantasy epic series featuring a Black woman protagonist in a brutal world inspired by African mythology and culture. The flagship series follows Kali as she navigates the deadly politics and supernatural forces of the Gehenna Imperium, drawn into a war she never sought. Issues published include the main series Vol. 1: Welcome to Hell, Princess and subsequent issues including All the Little Children and Gehenna Imperium #5: The Taekkyoni Wielder, with art by multiple collaborators including Calvin Tenner and Simon Spencer. Wynn also created Kerra Prime Presents: Zillah, illustrated by Hernan Gonzalez, Matthieu Huvel, and Paul Byrd, which expands the Ruling Hand Comics universe.
