Jamie McAfee

Jamie McAfee is a comic book writer, novelist, and screenwriter based in Orlando, Florida, who attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated with a degree in film and creative writing. She has been writing since childhood across multiple mediums and genres, including children's books, short stories, screenplays, and comics. She is best known as the creator and writer of Alexis Wyle — a dystopian steampunk action series featuring a Black woman superhero set in a world reshaped by a catastrophic event caused by an entity called Rapsidous, in which Alexis and her Infinity-X Team fight back against oppressive beings monitoring and controlling humanity. The series, illustrated by Marc Rene, was a 13-year dream project before its publication in 2024. Alexis Wyle Chapter 1 and Chapter 2: The Way We Were are both available. McAfee also writes scripts for film and television projects.
