Greg Anderson Elysée

Greg Anderson Elysée is a Brooklyn-born Haitian-American writer, educator, filmmaker, and model. He is the creator of Is'nana the Were-Spider, a horror-fantasy series rooted in West African and Caribbean mythology that became a seven-time Glyph Award winner — including Story of the Year and Best Writer. His 2025 work Hammer and The Torchbearer each won multiple Glyph Awards, with Elysée taking home four Glyph wins in a single year. He is also the author of Akim Aliu: Dreamer (Scholastic/Kaepernick Publishing), which won a YALSA Award and an In the Margins Book Award. A former comics journalist at Bleeding Cool and The Outhousers, he has taught filmmaking to students from elementary school through adulthood since 2012.
