Carlos Pacheco

Carlos Pacheco (November 1962 – November 1, 2022) was a Spanish artist who became one of the most admired superhero illustrators of the late 1990s and 2000s. His dynamic, expressive linework and facility with large ensemble casts made him a natural fit for epic team books. His run on Avengers Forever with Kurt Busiek remains one of the most celebrated time-travel stories in Marvel history. He also produced acclaimed work on Fantastic Four, X-Men Legacy, and Arrowsmith. Pacheco announced earlier in 2022 that he had been diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and passed away on what would have been his 60th birthday.
