Brian Stelfreeze

Brian Stelfreeze is a celebrated Atlanta-based painter, penciller, inker, and colorist who has worked for virtually every major American comic publisher across a four-decade career. An original member of Atlanta's legendary Gaijin Studios — a collective that shaped some of the industry's most respected talent — he is best known for painting more than 50 consecutive covers for DC Comics' Batman: Shadow of the Bat and for his acclaimed interior run on Marvel's Black Panther (2016) with writer Ta-Nehisi Coates. His work on Black Panther received an Eisner Award nomination. Stelfreeze has also served as art director for 12-Gauge Comics.
