Bob Haney (March 15, 1926 – November 25, 2004) was an American comic book writer best known for his prolific work at DC Comics from the mid-1950s through the 1980s. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Haney co-created the Teen Titans, Metamorpho, Eclipso, the Enchantress, and Black Manta — a roster that gave the DC universe some of its most distinctive Bronze Age characters. His long run on The Brave and the Bold with artist Jim Aparo produced some of the most beloved Batman team-up stories of the era, even as his distinctive disregard for established continuity made him a legendarily polarizing figure among fans. He also wrote the first appearance of Sgt. Rock. He received the Bill Finger Award posthumously in 2011.
