Beau DeMayo is an American television writer and showrunner best known as the creator and head writer of X-Men '97, the acclaimed Marvel animated series revival that premiered on Disney+ in 2024. A longtime comics fan, DeMayo built his television career as a writer on genre series including The Originals, Moon Knight, and The Witcher before shepherding X-Men '97 — a continuation of the beloved X-Men: The Animated Series from the 1990s — to critical and fan acclaim.
