Andre Meadows (born October 25, 1978, in North Carolina) is an actor, comedian, content creator, and the founder of Black Nerd Comedy — one of the pioneering YouTube channels devoted to Black nerd and geek culture. Meadows launched the channel on September 13, 2007 with a video titled "I'm a Black Nerd," building an audience of over 800,000 subscribers through weekly vlogs, rants, reviews, and interviews rooted in his love of Saturday morning cartoons, retro video games, Power Rangers, 80s and 90s nostalgia, and comics culture. He holds a BS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and worked as a computer programmer before pursuing YouTube and stand-up comedy full time. A Los Angeles transplant, Meadows has served as a social media host for SYFY, appeared as the Blue Ranger in the officially licensed web series Power Rangers HyperForce, cameo'd in Sharknado 4, hosted the CW special Discontinued, costarred in a Nintendo Switch commercial, and is an official ambassador for Nintendo, Power Rangers, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has opened for comedians Aisha Tyler and Maria Bamford. Meadows is one of the most recognized faces of the Blerd movement and a longtime presence at comic conventions across the country.
