Alissa Sallah is a Black cartoonist, colorist, and editor from small-town Ohio. She served as colorist and editor on the Image Comics fantasy romance series Sleepless (2017–2019, 11 issues, written by Sarah Vaughn, art by Leila del Duca) — her first major industry credit. She also contributed a story to Bitch Planet: Triple Feature (Image Comics). Her debut graphic novel Weeaboo (Secret Acorn/Simon & Schuster, 2021) is a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story about friendship, fandom, and growing up. She edits and contributes to the Bonfire Yearly Anthology. She has also been featured in the Yakuza 6: The Song of Life art book.
