Alice Oseman

Alice Oseman (born October 16, 1994, Kent, England) is a British author, illustrator, and comics creator who identifies as asexual and aromantic. She is the creator of Heartstopper — a webcomic-turned-graphic-novel series about the relationship between two teenage boys, Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson — which became an international publishing phenomenon and was adapted into a hugely successful Netflix television series (2022-present).

Heartstopper began as a Tumblr and Tapas webcomic in 2016 before being published in print by Hodder & Stoughton and Graphix/Scholastic. The series spans six volumes and has been translated into dozens of languages, reaching millions of readers worldwide. It is one of the most successful LGBTQ+ comics in history. Oseman's prose novels include Solitaire, Radio Silence, I Was Born for This, Loveless, and Nick and Charlie.
