Rosarium Publishing

Rosarium Publishing is an independently run, minority-owned publishing company specializing in speculative fiction, comics, satire, and a touch of crime fiction, founded in May 2013 by writer and editor Bill Campbell in the Washington, D.C. area. The company's mission is to 'introduce the world to itself' — publishing work by diverse global creators that mainstream publishers had overlooked. Rosarium's list spans over 40 artists and writers from around the world, in genres ranging from Afrofuturism and horror to humor and social justice. Notable titles include Mothership: Tales from Afrofuturism and Beyond (co-edited with Edward Austin Hall), Stories for Chip: A Tribute to Samuel R. Delany (co-edited with Nisi Shawl), APB: Artists against Police Brutality, DayBlack (Keef Cross), and The Day the Klan Came to Town (graphic novel by Bill Campbell and Bizhan Khodabandeh). Rosarium is distributed to bookstores nationally through IPG and its digital comics are available on Comixology and Peep Game Comix. Titles are taught in high school and college classrooms across the United States and have been reviewed or featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Publishers Weekly, Chicago Tribune, Library Journal, Locus, and The Boston Globe. Founder Bill Campbell won the 2016 Glyph Lifetime Achievement/Pioneer Award and the 2021 Locus Award for Amplifying Marginalized Voices.
