Freestyle Komics

Freestyle Komics (FSK) is an independent comic book publisher and label founded in 1999 by creator Michael Watson, based in Columbus, Ohio. FSK's mission is to create comics featuring characters that anyone can relate to — with the belief that 'anyone can be epic no matter shape, size, or color.' The company's flagship property is Hotshot, created in 1999 and first published in 2006; additional titles include Vigilance, Heroes International, Emerald Quest, The Cypher, FiveStar, and Greenzone. FSK has self-published, partnered with Legacy Rising Publications (2015–2017) and Short Fuse Media (2017–2021), and returned to self-publishing in 2021 after amicably splitting from Short Fuse. A 2021 Kickstarter for the Hotshot Vol. 1 & 2 trade paperbacks raised $11,183, exceeding its $6,000 goal. FSK also organizes FSKon, an annual community convention. Phone: (888) 380-6167.
