Morby (Toyin Ajetunmobi) is a Nigerian illustrator and concept artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. His international career began in 2015 following an internship at Imperial Creations Studios in Lagos. In 2021, his illustration series was instrumental in brokering a 10-book contract between Youneek Studios and Dark Horse Entertainment — one of the most significant deals in African comics history.
Morby has worked with multiple Nigerian comic studios including Youneek and Etan Comics, as well as FairSquare Graphics, where he contributed art to the original Noir Is the New Black anthology and to Little Rock Files across all three episodes of Noir Is the New Black Season 2 — the Eisner-nominated series co-created by Trowa Christopher Harris.
Noir Is the New Black Season 2 (FairSquare Graphics) received a 2026 Eisner Award nomination for Best Anthology. Morby received a 2026 Eisner nomination for Best Anthology as the artist on Little Rock Files within Noir Is the New Black Season 2.
