Allen Harrington

Allen Harrington is the founder and owner of Krazzy Comics in Gahanna, Ohio, the first Black-owned comic book shop in Columbus as of its opening in 2018. Harrington opened the store at the encouragement of his wife Nia, who has been by his side every step of the way in building the shop into a beloved community hangout for geeks of all kinds. The store features functional arcade games, a kids' corner with activities, a long box lounge with alphabetized dollar back issues, and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects Harrington's genuine love for comics and his community.

In a remarkable moment of comics history, Harrington also holds the distinction of asking the legendary Stan Lee to officiate his wedding to Nia at the Cincinnati Expo in 2016 — an unplanned historic event that preceded his equally unplanned achievement of opening Columbus's first Black-owned comic shop two years later.
