Fred Wright Jr.

Fred Wright Jr. is the founder and owner of Eastgate Comics in High Point, North Carolina, one of the most diverse comic retailers in the country. Wright founded Eastgate Comics in 2018 alongside his daughter Bailee, filling a gap left by the absence of a comic shop in High Point for over a decade. The store is located inside Eastgate Car and Home Audio, a mobile electronics retail business established in 1980 by Wright's father Fred Wright Sr., creating a unique multi-generational family business.

Eastgate Comics carries a wide selection of comics, graphic novels, trade paperbacks, apparel, statues, toys, and back issues, and has become a community fixture in the Piedmont Triad. Wright also created Eastgate Comic Con, an annual comics and pop culture convention that promotes local talent from the Triad and surrounding areas.
