Philbo Distribution

Philbo Distribution is a Long Island, New York-based independent comic book distributor and creator-centric logistics partner dedicated to bridging the gap between independent publishers and retail outlets worldwide. Founded by Phillip Russertt of Philbo Entertainment Promotions Inc. and launched in mid-2025, the company emerged in direct response to the collapse of Diamond Comic Distributors, with a mission to give indie publishers access to the direct market without the barriers of legacy distribution. Philbo produces a monthly digital catalog — Philviews — soliciting new releases to comic shops and specialty retailers across the United States and Canada. Publisher partners include Zenescope, Antarctic Press, Crusade Comics, FairSquare Graphics, AC Comics, Devil's Due, Heavy Metal, and Silverline Comics, among others. In April 2026, Philbo announced the expansion of its services to include onsite print-on-demand (POD) production, offering offset-comparable print quality at domestic pricing — eliminating the shipping delays and costs associated with overseas printing. Additional services include tiered retailer discounts of up to 50%, retailer returns, crowdfunding fulfillment, and convention marketing materials for creators. Philbo was founded by a creator for creators. Russertt himself is a comic book writer and publisher who built the company after surviving a life-threatening illness — seeing an opportunity to serve the indie publishers who lacked access to viable distribution infrastructure after Diamond's collapse.
