MVmedia, LLC is a Black-owned independent publishing company founded in 2008 by award-winning author and publisher Milton Davis, based in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. MVmedia specializes in Afrofuturism, Black speculative fiction, Sword and Soul, Steamfunk, and science fiction and fantasy rooted in African and African Diaspora history, culture, and traditions. The company's mission is to provide speculative fiction that represents people of color in a positive manner. Milton Davis is the author of over 30 novels and short story collections and the editor or co-editor of 14 anthologies. Notable titles include the Griots anthology series (co-edited with Charles R. Saunders), Steamfunk!, the Ki Khanga anthology, Terminus: Tales of the Black Fantastic from the ATL, and the Ngolo Diaspora comics series. Davis's story 'The Swarm' was nominated for the 2017 British Science Fiction Association Award for Short Fiction and he is a recipient of the 2022 ECBACC Pioneer Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2024 ConCarolinas/Falstaff Books Polaris Award.
